STAFF and volunteers celebrated the reopening of a charity shop – and its 20th birthday.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop in Arundel Street, Portsmouth, was closed last month for a refurbishment.

It opened its doors again yesterday to coincide with its 20th anniversary.

Preston Davis, BHF area manager, said: ‘We’ve enjoyed a fantastic 20 years of business in Portsmouth. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers and volunteers who help the BHF continue its life-saving work.’

He added: ‘The shop looks great after the refurbishment and we’re looking forward to making the next 20 years equally as successful.’

The shop offers a wide range of goods from clothing and accessories to CDs, DVDs, books and toys.

But donations of more goods are desperately needed. If you would like to help, visit the shop or call (023) 9287 2598.
