SHOPPERS can grab a bargain and help a charity as stores take part in Black Friday.

This weekend Sue Ryder is offering up to 30 per cent off at its shops. Items in the sale range from toasters to three-piece suites which are either new or refurbished.

Paula Moore, retail area manager for Hampshire, said: ‘At Sue Ryder we are always looking for new and exciting ways to provide our customers with the best possible shopping experience.

‘Our shops in Portchester, at Fratton Park and on Charlotte Street in Portsmouth are testing this initiative to bring our customers high-quality furniture and electrical items.’

The discounts, which are included online, run until Sunday evening and the money raised will go to support the charity’s hospices and neurological centres.
