PROUD parents watched on as a dance school held its first-ever show.
Members of the Amy Hackett School of Dance, based in Southsea, took to the stage yesterday.
More than 100 dancers put on the production at Portsmouth Grammar School.
The 170 youngsters performed a show called Summer in Southsea, which paid tribute to some of Southsea’s landmarks and attractions.
They have been practising all year and the moves represented places including Canoe Lake and Southsea Castle among others.
Many parents helped put the show on by making costumes and creating tickets to sell.
The school takes on children from as young as 18 months and teaches a variety of styles.
