STAFF and customers at a pharmacy had to evacuate the shop after the fire alarm went off.

The alarm went off at 12.40pm in the Rowlands Pharmacy, Eastney Road, Eastney, Portsmouth.

Two crews from Southsea were called to the incident.

Upon arrival crews found the fire was out.

A safety check found a fault in the electrics for a lightbulb, which had burst into flames.

Firefighters ensured the store was safe and issued advice.
