UNION members are to protest over tax centre closures tomorrow.
Members of the Public and Commercial Services union will take the action over HMRC’s plans to close 281 enquiry centres nationally.
The protest runs from 11am to 2pm, in Meadow Walk, at Cascades in Portsmouth.
Dave Hansford, Portsdown Vectis branch organiser said: ‘We are urging the department to keep these vital local offices open to the public.
‘The HMRC office at Wingfield House is already threatened with closure by April 2015. Our members are only one pay cheque away from needing food banks.’
