A COUPLE and their dog had to be rescued from Langstone Harbour this morning.

Portsmouth RNLI were called out by the Coastguard at 7.30am today when they received a call from a husband and wife on their 45ft barge, John William.

They were experiencing engine trouble and the high winds and choppy sea forced them to call for help.

The lifeboat crew took them ashore to the Hayling Island Harbour Master’s office.
