A LEISURE centre is hosting a sports open day this weekend to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity.

National Citizen Service (NCS) has organised the Sporting Chances event to encourage the community to be involved in sport.

Families with children under 13 are invited to take part in sport sessions which include football, basketball, badminton and table tennis.

The event will take place tomorrow at the Mountbatten Centre, Alexandra Park, between 1pm and 4pm and the £2 entry fee will go towards Help for Heroes.
