Children from a Southsea dance school have been chosen to perform in the musical extravaganza Pop Factor on Friday.

JoJo’s Street Dance, based at St Simon’s Church, will be taking part in the show at the New Theatre Royal, which will celebrate the biggest pop stars and current chart hits.

It will feature a cast of top professionals performing a current setlist, dance competitions and prize giveaways.

JoJo’s Street Dance is owned by Jojo Williams and has been running for over five years for children as young as four, right up to adults.

Pop Factor contacted the dance group and asked if the children could take to the stage and perform.

They had a one-hour workshop to learn the routine from scratch and have been rehearsing hard to make sure they are ready to perform on Friday.

The family event is from 6.30pm-8.30pm and tickets cost £13-£15 each.

The school is going to the World Championships in August and is looking for sponsors. If interested, go to jsd-kru.com.
