A POWER cut affected homes and businesses in Fareham.

JoJo Gelato in West Street, suffered a power cut of around one hour and 30 minutes at 7.45pm yesterday.

Owner JoJo Cheung said: ‘We had about an hour’s power cut. The ice cream was affected a little bit.’

She added her sister business L J Chinese, also in West Street, had to close as the company could not operate.

‘We had a couple of deliveries and takeaways we had to cancel.’

A spokeswoman for SSE said around 30 properties, including 12 households, were affected. Low voltage caused the outage, she added.
