ENGINEERS have restored power to city centre properties after they were left without electricity for nearly 12 hours.

Builders accidentally cut a power cable yesterday afternoon, which left five properties in Anglesea Road, Landport, without electricity.

Southern Electric resolved the problem around 4am this morning.

Chris Harris, spokesman for Southern Electric, said: ‘We apologise for any inconvenience this caused.’
