A WOMAN suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a 4x4 outside a hospital.

She was struck by a silver Land Rover Freelander, driven by a 68-year-old woman, outside the outpatients’ department at St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which happened at about 3.40pm on Tuesday.

The woman is now receiving treatment at St Richard’s Hospital. Anyone with information should call 101.
