Problem with hydraulics

Nearly 2,700 cases of non-recent child abuse have been recorded by police in Hampshire. The NSPCC's chief executive said it is a sign that more people are confident in reporting the crimes perpetrated against them.

EMERGENCY services were scrambled after a plane reported a hydraulics problem as it approached Southampton Airport.

The Flybe flight from Bergerac in France landed safely at 5.23pm yesterday, and fire crews, ambulances and police were stood down.

The response was a standard precautionary measure.
