A CANCER charity hosted a professor for a talk at its December meeting.

The Fareham local committee of Cancer Research UK held its annual fundraising Christmas lunch on Sunday at Wallington Village Hall in Fareham.

Professor Christian Ottensmeier from Southampton General Hospital spoke to the group about vaccines that his team are developing to fight cancer.

Maggie Nobes, from the group, thanked everyone who supported the event.
