The Heron in Petersfield Road, Havant is set to close on Monday for a six-figure refurbishment which will bring five new jobs.

The work will completely redesign the pub’s bar area to a modern standard, with an updated drinks menu set to appeal to patrons when it re-opens on Wednesday, November 29.

New sound systems will also be put in place in the pub’s sports viewing area.

Emma Cupit, general manager at the Heron – a Hungry Horse pub – said: ‘The Heron is at the heart of the local community so we want to provide our guests with even better surroundings to enjoy great food, drink and sporting events.

‘We’re really excited to get the refurbishment underway and look forward to welcoming our Havant neighbours to the revamped venue on Wednesday 29 November.’

The new-look pub will offer deals including buy-one-get-one-free burgers and £9.99 prosecco at weekends.
