A CONSULTATION on flood defences will continue until next month.

The Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership, on behalf of Fareham and Gosport Borough Councils, is developing a coastal management strategy from the River Hamble to Portchester.

Nearly 400 people attended drop-in consultation events held across the area.

Councillor Keith Evans, executive member for strategic planning and development at Fareham Borough Council, said: ‘There has been a great deal of interest in what the strategy is proposing and we are very pleased with the level of interest we have seen from the public so far.’

Comments will be accepted on the strategy from the public online until December 1.
