MEDINA Primary School in Cosham is one of the first schools in the area to sign up to Blue Day.

Headteacher Howard Payne feels passionate about the charity because his daughter Olivia, who like Tom was a student at Priory, was diagnosed with a form of leukaemia at the age of 13. After two years, she made a full recovery.

Mr Payne said: ‘My daughter was one of the lucky ones. I understand what Tom’s parents went through and I admire them for setting up such a great charity in his memory. If I can do anything to support it I will.’
