YOUNGSTERS from across East Hampshire wowed judges at auditions for the area’s biggest talent show.
The teenagers on East Hampshire Youth Council are behind Ignition, an X Factor-style event.
The auditions, held in the council chamber, included the Kieran Murphy Band, pictured, singers, dancers, actors and even a puppeteer doing their best to impress.
The final next month will be an opportunity to step out in front of an audience of over 150 with the back-up of professional sound and lighting to give performances the sheen of a true star.
Edward Ashdown, one of the of the judges, said: ‘We were really impressed with the standard of the acts that have entered the contest.
‘It was a really difficult task picking the best to go through.
‘I think we’ve managed to pick the best possible balance and range of talents that will make for a great final.’
The acts to get through include young people aged eight to 18.
All the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Naomi House and jacksplace, hospices that support children and young people with terminal illnesses.
The final is being held at The Petersfield School on January 28 at 7pm.
Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for children.
