FUNDRAISERS are being urged to sign up to a bowl-a-thon in aid of a charity for disabled people.

Up to 24 teams are invited to take part in the 2012 ten-pin bowling challenge at AMF Bowling, at Havant Retail Park, Havant.

Groups should consist of five players and each will bowl for an hour throughout the day on Tuesday, February 28.

Prizes are awarded for the highest scoring teams and individual players.

Proceeds raised from the annual event will go towards Enable Ability, based in Copnor Road, Copnor, which cares for disabled children and adults and provides support for their families.

Richard Soutar, Enable Ability manager, said: ‘The annual bowl-a-thon has proved to a fun way of raising much needed funds for charity.

‘We hope that people might wish to join us on the day.’
