Put yourself in the Dragon’s Den to win community funding

THIS WEEK IN 1993: Portsmouth teenager killed in knife fight

Have your say

PEOPLE will get to pitch their ideas for community improvements to a Dragons’ Den-style panel.

Anyone with an idea of how to make Fratton in Portsmouth a better place to live, work or visit can now apply to Fratton’s Den for funding.

People can apply for between £50 and £500 to help deliver a project that benefits the area. Fratton is one of 150 areas in England receiving Big Lottery funding over the next 10 years. Over that time £1m will be given to the area to make it a better place to live.

Council communities engagement manager, James Sandy, said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to really make a change, and influence the development of an important area of the city. We want to hear your ideas and concepts on how this money can benefit Fratton.’
