THERE were Pompey shirts everywhere as pupils at Medina Primary showed their support for Blue Day.

Children dressed in blue and the chefs in the school canteen also made some special Blue Day muffins which were sold for £1 each.

The school raised around £201 in total.

Stephne Wessels, year six teacher at the school, said: ‘All the Medina children are big Pompey fans.

‘We love to support the charity, especially as it’s a football charity.

‘They have all dressed in blue today.

‘The school is always getting involved in raising money.

‘The children enjoy taking part and they like dressing up too.’
