CITY leaders have welcomed the long awaited return of The Pyramids Centre.
The News was taken on a tour of the Southsea leisure complex as members of the public were invited back for the first time to use the pool since being closed in February.
The site has been closed while work was carried out to repair damage caused by storms. More than £1m has been invested in the project by Pyramid operator BH Live and Portsmouth City Council.
The official reopening of The Pyramids is tomorrow.
Cllr Linda Symes, cabinet member for culture and leisure, said: ‘It looks so clean and inviting. It’s fantastic. It is a fantastic asset for the community.’
