A SPONSORED walk for a diabetes charity was so successful it could be brought back again next year.
Scores of people took part in the Diabetes UK walk in Queen Elizabeth Country Park, near Clanfield, to raise awareness and money for the charity.
Walkers chose from two courses – the long woodland trail of five miles or the short woodland trail of two miles long.
Penny January, regional fundraising manager, said: ‘We were very impressed with the number of people who turned out.
‘We had someone as old as 89 joining in, as well as babies in pushchairs.
‘We’re still counting money, but we’re hoping to raise around £2,500 and we want to hold the event again next year.’
