A FASCINATING series of lectures exploring the themes behind the Queen’s Christmas speech begins soon.

The lectures, at Chichester Cathedral, will look at 60 years of broadcasts by Her Majesty.

They will be free of charge and given by the Cathedral Chancellor, Canon Dr Anthony Cane. He said: ‘The Queen has been speaking like this for so long that we are in danger of forgetting how unusual it is for a public figure to speak of world events in the light of a personal Christian faith.’

The lectures are April 17, 24 and May 1 and 8 at 6.30pm.
