HOT drinks and a selection of cake and pastries will be on offer to support the world’s biggest charity coffee morning.
The Macmillan Information and Support Centre, which is based in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, is inviting patients, visitors and staff members to drop in and buy a hot drink and a donated snack.
The national World’s Biggest Coffee Morning takes place this Friday from 10am to midday.
Proceeds go to the Macmillan Cancer Support – a charity that helps cancer sufferers by providing help and support and funding research.
Sinead Parry, centre manager, said: ‘We hope many people will come and support such a worthy cause.
‘We are delighted to take part in this fantastic event and help raise the profile of the charity.
‘We would like to thank everyone for their donations and all the volunteers who help make the event a success.’
The Macmillan Centre has been developed as a joint venture between Macmillan Cancer Support and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, to ensure people affected by cancer have access to good quality, comprehensive and appropriate information and support.
A drop in service is available from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Private appointments can be arranged.
