A MEETING is being held to let people know about plans for the Stubbington bypass.

Fareham Borough Council is holding the Community Action Team meeting to display plans for the bypass.

The council has been working with Hampshire County Council to draw up the plans for the work on Newgate Lane South.

The meeting will allow residents to look at the plans, which will be on display and have any questions they have about the project will be answered by members of the council.

The meeting will be held at Holy Rood Church, in Gosport Road, Stubbington on Thursday, September 3, at 7pm.

Residents will be able to view the plans from 1pm.

Chairing the meeting will be Cllr Kay Mandry.

She said: ‘I know a lot of people are interested in the bypass, and  I would encourage them to come along to find out more about the plans.’

The bypass was approved in July and is likely to cost about £35m. The county council apply to the government for the cash.
