HAMPSHIRE restaurants have been named in the latest edition of the prestigious Michelin Guide.

Emsworth's 36 on the Quay remains on the list as does JSW in Petersfield.

Other additions from the county include The Black Rat in Winchester and The Terrace at Montagu Arms Hotel in Beaulieu.

The Bakers Arms in Droxford is also on the Gourmand list for good food at moderate prices.

Editor-in-Chief Rebecca Burr said: 'This centenary edition underlines the UK's greatest strength which is the rich diversity and variety of its restaurants.

'The country embraces all kinds of restaurants and every type of cuisine and the public's appetite shows no signs of abating.

'There is no doubt that 2010 was a difficult year but those hotels and restaurants that represented value for money, at whatever price, were the ones who were best placed to weather the storm.'

The guide will be available in bookshops from today, priced at 15.99.
