RISING pop star Shirin played a gig at a village pub before setting off on a tour of Asia.

The 23-year-old, from Fareham, played to her home crowd at The Bugle Hotel, in Titchfield.

The singer performed hits from her debut EP Good Girls Always Surrender.

Shirin said her blend of pop has been influenced by female icons such as Debbie Harry, Joan Jett and Annie Lennox.

And she’s been tipped for the top internationally, with America and Asia liking her sound.

Shirin set off on her ‘Good Girls’ tour this week, which will see her perform gigs in China, Singapore, the Philippines and Korea.

Her first concert takes place today and her last will be on August 3, at the Hard Rock Cafe in 
Seoul.
