The River Wallington has burst its banks at Fareham.

Romanse, the traffic and travel information service, said: ‘There are reports that the River Wallington has burst its banks, affecting traffic in Pook Lane and Spurlings Road on the Spurlings Industrial Estate.’

It comes a month after the river last burst its banks during heavy rain.

Ian Bowyer from Portsdean Technical S & S Ltd on Spurlings Industrial Estate said: ‘It happens regularly. My engineer drove through it a few weeks ago when it last happened and it wrote his car off. It’s at the other end of the industrial estate.’
