A BEER festival was able to raise thousands of pounds with a weekend full of sun and music.
The Rose in June Folk and Beer Fest was held last weekend and the pub managed to raise £3,000.
The money will go to the Portsmouth branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Paul Saynor, landlord of the pub in Milton Road, Copnor, said: ‘We had a fabulous weekend with brilliant weather and managed to raise £3,000.
‘We had over 3,000 people throughout Saturday who witnessed some terrific folk music from Polite Mechanicals, Iscalis, Wireless and Sue Apicella.
‘Sunday was a busy but enjoyable family day with face painting, balloon making and bouncy castle.’
