INSPIRATIONAL duo Ashley Wilson and James Ketchall saw their boat off in style in preparation for a world record attempt.

They will be attempting to row 3,600 miles across the Indian Ocean and are setting off on their adventure in two weeks.

But their boat was shipped off last month to the start point in Australia.

Ashley, from Wickham, wants to beat the record of 85d 2hrs 5mins to raise awareness for three charities — The Elifar Foundation, Young Epilepsy and Scouts.

The pair recently attended a party to mark the first anniversary of Fusion Fitness Gym in Lysses Court, Fareham and they were buoyed by the positive reaction.
