FIREFIGHTERS put out two fires caused by burning rubbish.

The first happened in the chalk pits in Paulsgrove at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Crews were then sent to deal with rubbish which had been set alight in Southsea’s Rose Garden. No damage to the area was caused.
