STAFF from Fareham College were competing in a 10km run today for a canine cause close to their hearts.

Lecturers from the motor vehicle department hope to raise hundreds of pounds for Canine Partners, a charity which provides training dogs for people with disabilities, at the Chichester Priory Road Race.

Department head Paul Brimecome was taking part this year because his dog Lola has been trained as a supporter dog and comes into college to help cheer up students at the college.

Paul said: ‘I’ve been training hard for this.

‘Canine Partners is a charity I’m passionate about.

‘Everyone knows Lola at Fareham College and that’s why some of the other motor vehicle lecturers wanted to get involved.’
