Runners are being invited to take part in a 13-mile race for charity.

The Rainbow Centre, based in Fareham, has got 10 places for the Reading Half Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, March 20.

Anyone thinking about taking up a spot will need to raise 400 in sponsorship for the cerebral palsy charity.

The centre's fundraising team will offer support along the way, from the day itself to hospitality days before and after the race. These will give the runners the chance to meet their new colleagues and also receive a tour of The Rainbow Centre to see exactly how their sponsorship money will help.

Julie Woodward, community fundraiser at the centre said: 'This is the first year that we have decided to get involved with this race.

'The Rainbow Centre helps several children from Reading and its surrounding towns and we felt that it would be appropriate to extend our fundraising activities in this area.'
