WORKERS are being called to ditch the cars and saddle up for a month-long cycle challenge.

The move is part of the National Cycle Challenge which is urging residents to cycle to work instead of drive.

The campaign aims to boost the number of people commuting by bike and is running throughout September.

And employees taking on the challenge can win a prizes ranging from a hot air balloon ride to a spa experience, by logging their rides on the website

To join, see and pledge to cycle to work on September 14.
