THE Salvation Army is calling for volunteers to help with its annual door-to-door collection.

The organisation will call at residents’ homes in Portsmouth and surrounding areas throughout September in a bid to raise funds for their services.

Money donated will go directly to helping those homeless in the UK or addicted to drugs.

Volunteers can work in groups or alone for as long as they choose. Collectors do not have to be members as permits will be issued.
