AN ANNUAL fun day was today due to be held to raise funds for play equipment at an early learning centre.

The event, at Woodlands Early Learning will also raise charity cash for charity Cystic Fibrosis Trust through a silent auction.

Prizes up for grabs in the auction include a rib ride for up to 10 people, and a three- course meal at a Jamie’s Italian Restaurant.

A cake stall, treasure hunt, barbecue, bouncy castle and tombola are among the other attractions on offer to visitors.

Sam Shergold, who runs the centre, said: ‘All of the money raised will go towards purchasing some new garden play equipment, due to us having to cut down our cherry tree that supported our tyre swings. ‘The children were quite upset to see it go so we have been asking them what they would like instead.

‘The options have ranged from a Peppa Pig water park to a new climbing frame.’

The fun day was to be held at the centre in Barnes Lane, Sarisbury Green, from 11am to 3pm today.
