PEOPLE in Fareham are being offered free loft insulation.

Fareham Borough Council is teaming up with Insulate Hampshire to provide rolls of DIY loft insulation.

People can claim the insulation at an event on Saturday, October 13 between 10am and 12.30pm from Fareham College car park in Bishopsfield Road.

Places are limited and residents are encouraged to sign up for the event as soon as possible.

The insulation can help save up to £50 a year on fuel bills.

Insulate Hampshire is a council-backed scheme working with Hampshire County Council.

Councillor Seán Woodward, council leader, said: ‘Insulate Hampshire is an excellent scheme which offers homeowners in the borough the opportunity to insulate their homes for free or at a fraction of the normal price and will help residents save money on their fuel bills.’
