A 13-year-old schoolboy suffered minor injuries after being knocked down by a car in Gosport.

Police and medics were called at 3.20pm today after the Bay House school student was struck by a Peugeot 308 as he ran across Gomer Lane, in Alverstoke.

Police say he suffered minor injuries. The boy was put on a spinal board as a precaution and taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for assessment.
