LIFEBOAT crews were busy at the weekend with several call-outs in the Solent.

Members of the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service, based at Stokes Bay in Gosport, were sent to two incidents on Saturday and helped out on a third.

Three catamarans came into difficulty during the course of the day.

Two of them were dismasted and a third had capsized.

Six people were helped by the crews and all were taken to safety.
