Sea Scouts celebrate long year of activities

MEMBERS of the fifth Gosport Sea Scouts seized the chance to marvel at a year of hard work.

Parents, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts attended the group’s annual general meeting held at their headquarters in St. Luke’s Road, Gosport, last month.

Group scout leader Mike Brown led the meeting, showcasing the group’s successes over the year with a photographic review.

Ian Batchelor, Gosport district commissioner, also gave out scout and activity badges to members of the group, which is one of only 101 groups in the elite Royal Navy Recognition Scheme.

They also celebrated receiving £1,000 from HMS Sultan after a year of fundraising.
