SEEDS and plants have been the subject of an unusual exhibition.
Artist Hannah Gardiner, of Northcote Road, Southsea, struck upon the idea of holding an exhibition about seeds after contemplating how much food is thrown away every day.
By saving all the seeds from the fruit and vegetables that they had eaten every day over the course of six weeks, the 26-year-old and her team discovered that up to 1,000 seeds are wasted every week, just by throwing away apple cores or the pips of cherries and oranges.
Hannah spent six weeks giving away seeds and plants during an exhibition at the Gallery Art Space Portsmouth, in Brougham Road, Southsea.
