A CASINO hit the bullseye by beating last year’s fundraising total for a 12-hour darts match.

The Grosvenor Casino in Osborne Road, Southsea, set up the endurance match, which started at midday on Sunday. Darts teams were sponsored to play during the night, and the aim was to raise more than £2,000.

A raffle and auction also took place to boost funds.

People services manager Faye Ingle said: ‘The event was really good, we had about 25 darts players.

‘We raised more than £2,000 and we’re still waiting for sponsorship money of another £1,100, which means we beat last year’s total.’

Money raised will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
