AROUND 25 firefighters are battling a shed blaze in Hambledon.

The shed, which is a workshop, contains gas cylinders of acetylene, LPG, propane and red diesel.

Fire crews were called to Worlds End, Hambledon, at 7.39am today, and are still at the scene.

Two engines from Waterlooville, one from Wickham, one from Cosham, and one from Droxford, are in attendance, along with the special equipment unit.

Hampshire Constabulary were called at 8.05am and have put a road closure in place.

A spokesman in the control room said: ‘Ervilles Road is currently closed in both directions, but cannot say where from, or how long it will be on until.

‘The fire service is taking the lead on this incident.’

There are no known injuries.
