A PROJECT to get retired men out of the house is to have its first meeting after finding a new home.

Members of The Gosport Shed are to meet tomorrow at Martin Snape House, in Pavilion Way, Gosport.

It starts at 2pm and new committee members will also be elected.

As reported, the project, led by founder Martin Corrick, is now based at the historic Fort Brockhurst, in Gosport.

Navy base HMS Sultan is due to give the project £500 on October 3.

It comes after The Southern Co-operative donated £1,000 to the project.

The team has now refurbished two casemates at the fort, restored power, cleared rubbish and is fitting out the workshop.
