ELDERLY people will be able to sing their hearts out at a new friendship club.

Brendoncare, a charity for older people, is starting a singing club for people over 70.

It will meet every Monday from 7pm to 9pm at the Club Hampshire Centre in The Anchorage, Gosport.

The sessions will be led by a music teacher, and will incorporate a wide variety of styles, encompassing hits from the 60s all the way up to those which are currently in the charts.

Edwin Ingleton, from Brendoncare, said: ‘Our clubs are a vital service to older people in the community and we are really excited to be able
to open this new singing group.

‘Not only will it allow people to come together and have fun, but there will be various opportunities to help raise money for Brendoncare as a charity through events and performances.’

Sessions cost £2.50 and volunteers are also welcome.
