LEGENDARY sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston will carry the Olympic flame on Saturday.

Sir Robin, 73, who founded Gosport-based Clipper Ventures, will carry his torch through Greenwich.

He was the first person to sail solo non-stop around the world in 1969.

Sir Robin said: ‘It’s a great honour to be selected.’

The Clipper yacht race fleet returns home on the same day.
