MELTING snow on the roof of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service’s building caused an electrical fault.

It meant the control room operators had to move temporarily from their Eastleigh base to a nearby Hampshire County Council building for just over an hour on Sunday.

It happened at 7.30am and calls were diverted to Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
