MORE than £200 was raised for a charity aiming to stop poverty.

A cheque for £216.07 was sent to Christian Aid after a carol service in Emsworth square.

Organiser David Thompson said: ‘I want to say thank you to people who sang carols and gave so generously.’

The charity works across more than 50 countries.
