Southsea pub quiz for good cause

PUNTERS raised more than £300 for The Tom Prince Cancer Trust at a pub’s quiz night.

The event was held on Sunday at The Festing, in Festing Road, Southsea, Portsmouth. There was also a raffle with prizes including tickets for Fratton Park, meal vouchers for The Ship Anson, in Portsea, and tickets for The Kings Theatre’s Christmas panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Alex O’Taylor, the pub’s quiz master, said: ‘I have seen the staff and regulars of The Festing do loads for the Tom Prince Cancer Trust over the last three years.

‘I just wanted to do something to get involved to help the trust on its way to reaching their £1m target. After speaking to a few of the regulars they were only to happy to ask their companies to help with some prizes.’
