VOLUNTEER doctors who help to save lives at accident scenes will benefit from the proceeds of a street party.

The event in Great Southsea Street, Southsea, raised a total of £175 for BASICS Hampshire.

The street party was a great success with face painters, band unlimited S, DJ Sweet Soul Simmo and a raffle, which was arranged by Marilyn Lombardi and her husband Paul.

The main organiser of the event was Liz Summerfield, who chose BASICS as the benefactor.
